Originally this was my Bigbang fic. My muse was blocked, however, and only just allowed me to write this in the past week. Unfortunately that means I did miss the due date to turn it in.
I want to thank my beta's,anyothergirl415 and darkmerrick, for their amazing help in editing this, the fic that ate my brain. Anyothergirl415 has been following this fic since the first 1k and was an awesome cheerleader. Congrats on your baby boy, hon! DarkMerrick cheered me on over twitter and read it over when I was still trying to churn it out for the bigbang due date. Thank you so much for the encouragement!
Thank you to everyone on my flist and Twitter that left me encouraging notes or filled in the blank when I asked a random question about a word or term or spelling or something else.
Also thanks tofollowthesp1der who described what a violist had to play as an audition at her college. Thank you so much for that tidbit! I used most of it :) *hugs*
Foster Care:
I have family that are involved in the system as foster parents and a few cousins that are adopted through the system. I don't really know that much about it, considering.
Football:
I've watched it on occasion. I know the names of the different players due to Physical Education classes in Middle and High School.
Orchestra (Viola):
I played the viola in High School, I spent a long time as the second chair. It wasn't something I've really continued since being in college but I hope to join a community symphony once I'm employed somewhere after college. It's been four years since I last took an orchestra class and I never actually did scholarship related stuff. I did go to a few competitions, however, but was never serious about them. They were for fun.
The Location:

I based the High School, and much of the City, off of my home town. It was only natural since I grew up there. It's been a while since I've spent a lot of time there so some of it may have changed. For the most part I tried to keep things in line with what I remembered of my own High School. In writing it I did try to keep it at least partially nonspecific as if it could take place most anywhere.
- The High School: The layout and such is based on Walla Walla High School. If you wish to see a map of the campus you can see it here There are tiny pictures on the headers of the various pages on the schools website that show various parts of campus.
- Jensen's House: Is based off a mix of two or three houses. Both were actually in really nice neighborhoods and belonged to friends of mine. I just kind made it more of a fixer upper in my mind.
- The middle school/park: Based off of Pioneer Middle Schools and Pioneer Parks location.
- Coffee Haven: Completely based off of Coffee Perk's location and basic layout (when I was in HS, sometime in the last four years they tore the booths out :( ).
- Chad's house: A mix of two houses again, my aunts and this really nice and huge house that belonged to a student I did a project with my freshmen year of High School (in other words forever ago but I loved it).
Reason for Vineyard/Wheat: Other than Sweet Onions and the Whitman Massacre (and the state penitentiary), Walla Walla is wheat and wine country. There are tons of vineyards and wineries cropping up every year. Again, I used what I know.

Never played one, sad right?
The Ice-Burg
A real place and I kept the real name. Their food is to good NOT to use it in this fic. Seriously.
Elementary School and Theater
Based on the location and layout of Blue Ridge Elementary school in WW. The Theater is based the Grand Cinemas in WW.
Part 8, Mall, Music Store, Lenscrafters:
Based on a mixture of malls. Mostly in the Tri Cities (WA state)'s mall. Haven't been there in a while the drive is based on the drive to Pasco, mall in Kennewick, and Richland is the third. The river mentioned is the Columbia. Never been to a large Instrument store- so I kinda made it up. I've also never done more than look at frames in Lenscrafters so I guessed based on their claim of 1 hour glasses.
Jared's House:
Kinda like a friends inside, but looks more like this really nice house I saw on TV once outside.
Part 10
I did base the random HS off of some place as well as the hotel is based on a real holiday inn express, but I can't remember where. I also used the process, to the best of my memory, in regards to the orchestra and band competitions I attended. I honestly couldn't remember how many judges there were so I just said two since (although my mind said one) I didn't think one was fair.
